this was unintentionally funny, first you got this guy eating up a paper with huge sound effects, then he puts on the biggest fake moustache you ever saw after being chased by the uncommon sight for this time, bearded fellas, also notice the guy with a voice like the early police academy movies. it had all the signs of being a roger corman movie, the eye catching title like just another take on "beast from haunted cave" (this got as much as a "the" though, and this is also in desperate need of being hosted by elvira, i can't believe how entertaining she make these b movies), the narration, the bright picture, the background music, a group of fellas and one girl on vacation, not a sign of there being a horror until far into the movie... the monster looking more like a muppet and a rip off of "the creature from the black lagoon" (as well as the title)... how did corman get away with this... even the cast was the same... which it's actually quite a good thing since i get to recognise these players... and one bogart look alike, but what is up with that weird opening drawings, like the pink panther or something, as if they decided afterwards to use it as a comedy. you got a point, i actually thought of ed wood while watching this, i guess they make sort of similar flicks. i mean there's something enjoyable about it, and i got hooked on the love story between the guy and latino woman. people here go on about this being a comedy, well somebody didn't inform me as the movie was featured in the 50 movies dvd box "horror classics".
