1-15 Those Gossipin Men

In this episode Andy and Barney give the women a hard
time about gossiping and the women turn the tables.

Emma, Clara Lindsey and aunt Bee are int he Drugstore standing around gossiping.
Andy walks in and says "my goodness don't you look happy
you must be cuttin up somebody real good"

This of course makes the ladies angry and they want to get even.

Andy came in to get some powder for a cut that Barney got from his gun.
After the story makes the rounds Barney has shot himself and he is dead.

Barney's worried about his finger "If I lose that I might as well quit the business".
After a phone call they learn that Barney is dead.
"You'd think I knew if I shot myself in the chest, that'd smart"
Andy has some fun with it and makes Barney mad.
"You oughta get a job on one of those excursion boats"

Later on a shoe salesman goes into the drug store and the ladies plant
a seed in Andy's head.
After the men get done talking he's become a TV talent scout.

They come up a plan to audition for him

Floyd's son plays the sax.
"Why don't you play some of that sax-a-mania"

Barney plays the harmonica.
"What'll it be, I'm Just a Vagabond Lover, Animal Crackers, Funiculì, Funicula"

We all know he really is a shoe salesman and just sold 67 pair of shoes.
At the end we see the men arguing and the women smiling.

Some laughs but not one of my favorite episodes.
