Aren't those old cars great?...

How many did you recognise?

Here's some of them -

I was thinking the same thing. I was born in 1960 and when I was a kid my parents had a 1955 Oldsmobile Holiday 88. I think one of the cars they were using was the same model. It was hard to tell if the colors were the same due to the movie being black and white, but it sure looked like the same year and model.

The two tone jobs are fun. So much chrome. One was an old Chevy or Ford from the 20's, pretty out of place in the late 50's. One thing, it was almost entirely GM, Ford, a few Chrysler products. Almost never an independent like Packard, Nash, Kaiser, Hudson. Did see a couple of Studebaker's, the.biggest and best selling independent. No foreign cars. That's what killed off so many, like sheep, people just bought the same boring brands. Too bad. However, really enjoyed the street scenes, the only way to preserve the past on film.

Looked like a 55 Buick and a 58 Olds among the Robbers' fleet. I see now on the imcdb.org page that I was a bit off in my guesses.

That '58 DeSoto was gorgeous! The huge fins!

In 1958, I saw a 2-door green Olds belonging to a neighborhood teen. I swore when I could afford one, that's what I'd buy.

I never did, though. I was into Porsches by that time.
