"All a dream" endings on their own are sort of copouts, unless there's another surprise twist in the episode after they wake up. Two good examples being "Midnight sun" and "Person or persons unknown".
I wonder if all of this going on about the IMDb boards closing, I'll wake up soon.and this would all have been a dream. I wonder what the twist after I wake up will be, or if there will be one.
Perchance to Dream is another one.
shareI think "Perchance to dream" was more of a situation of one's life flashing before one's eyes in the last moment before death, just like in "Occurance at Owl creek bridge". Where in " Perchance to dream ", the man walks right into the doctor's office, lies onto the couch and dies. But we see him as walking into the office, lying on the couch for a minute, them him getting up and telling the doctor about his fears, his nightmares, and his heart condition, all that intercut with him at the amusement park, meeting Mya, walking out of the office and seeing " Mya" as the secretary, then running and jumping out the window. Everything we saw after him first walking in and lying down was all his life flashing before his eyes and him dying.
