A Noir Musical?

When you consider it has a grim, murderous story line with gangsters, betrayal and a sad fallen women - plus Elvis songs. It's a good cast with a convincingly nasty Walter Matthau but for me the best thing about this film is Carolyn Jones.
Overall it's not great, might have been better if Elvis could actually act, but it's OK.
