A John Waters film made with an A-list budget and actors - whose performances are stultifying. At least John Waters films are funny, & everyone knows the "acting" will be a joke. But this movie is unbelievably ridiculous. And Malone's drag queen performance winning an Oscar only adds to the surrealism.
