I Wanted to Slap Lola

Seriously! LOL She was such a little tramp, coming between the two guys. She made me so mad...but then, strangely, towards the end, I started to feel sorry for her...

You were supposed to.

reply

Well, there you go, - she a damn good actor.

reply

Slap her. I don't know.

Bang her yes.

I watching the movie right now on TCM and I feel like slapping the SH@@ out of her. Seriously!

But since I have not finish seeing it yet, lets see if I feel sorry for her too.

reply

Yeah, I'm watching it now too. She had/has it coming!

reply

These are all totally useless comments. Why do you bother? So many of these boards are wasted.

I also watched this movie on TCM Saturday afternoon. She infuriated me also and I never felt sorry for her. She was a manipulator who lost in the end.I never saw Katy Jurado before though. I knew who she was but this was the first I ever saw of her work.

She was a horrid character - very much how men perceived women in those days - the misogyny in this film is palpable - the 50s were not as awesome as all that !!!

I did love this film though as more of a relationship between 2 men. Always loved Tony Curtis - always felt a little bromance in his work. He was just one of those guys I think. Comfortable with himself as a human being.

reply

Funny! I wanted to screw her!
