Comfort Woman

I saw this film as a child probably in about 1958. First releases of films took a long time to get to my remote Australian country cinema.

I seem to remember at one point one of the women elected to go with a Japanese officer in his flash car, presumably to become his mistress, what we would now recognize as a "comfort woman".

Is my memory correct?

If so who was the actor?

Yes, but not sure who portrayed either of the roles.

The actress was Maureen Swanson. No sure who the Japanese captain was!
