Interesting Hitchcock "Shout-Outs" in Nightfall

Almost certainly unintentional, but great fun all the same ---

First of all, James Gregory's vigilant binocular surveillance of Aldo Ray's apartment --- hearkening back to Jimmy Stewart's surveillance of his neighbors' apartments in Rear Window (1954).

Then, Anne Bancroft's weary declaration to Aldo Ray, in his apartment, that she's always falling for The Wrong Man (1956) !!

J'ai l'œil AMÉRICAIN !

Nonsense. A view through binoculars has been shown in countless movies. Women have fallen for the wrong man in countless movies. They are not all "shout outs" to Hitchcock.
