bbc radio drama

i was looking forward so bad to hear this as a radio theatre i popped it on the cd player as soon as i got it, i got to say, when you've first seen a classic, you get really shocked by the vulgarity of a new production, it got to the point where i actually turned off because it seemed so undignified compared to the 1950's version i had seen, like i actually thought for a while, is this 1984 or a dirty story, the two main roles acted like naughty teenagers, and i'm suppose to be engaged in these people? i was embarrassed by the progress, the story was contained on two cd's, the first was basically them screwing. like i couldn't believe this was a version of 1984, and the way the main roles came off, and the dialogue between the moaning, by the way, listening to them screw became really, really, really embarrassing since i listened to it with my grandparents who love audio books... then young kids walked in, my goodness, i completely froze, my grandparents were staring down at the floor... okey, i'm kidding about that part, but can you imagine, that's why i have to turn off the tv when i got company over because there doesn't seem to be any restriction anymore, and of course it dumbs things down since you can just blast anything out like a raving redneck in a bar, these two main roles that i got so engaged in at the 1950's movie had just turn unbearable, i can't even repeat the words how she described herself and they seemed to go to great lengths to portray the guy as a cheating sleaze, i probably won't get around to listen to the rest (on the other cd) unless to hear him get thrown into room 101. this really diminished my view of bbc radio, who would've thought, that bone dry public service network that hesitate to even throw make up on their newsreaders, i'll probably stick to cbs twilight zone radio dramas and big finish productions in the future, i know the new twilight zone radio dramas can get quite absurd at moments too but this was ridiculous, perhaps i get amazed cause i'm used to old entertainment and this frankly is just standard today but then what is society heading to.

when you were busy or out,
discovered someone identical,
like you down to every feature and detail,
and when you were gone used your doppelganger,
got slippery and mixed you two together,
thought i was with her saw fury in original eye,
hit me with a frying pan and now im out.

Most unfortunate. So many times newer remakes lack the class and respectability of the older versions. I, for one, won't be giving the BBC radio version a try. Thanks for your thoughts on that.
