fist cross

im writing a paper on the wall and can only find the 1984 version of 1984, does anyone know if the crossed arm double fist salute from the audience was in earlier 1984 films? Im trying to establish a credible film influence, i think its described in the book, too early to read it a again, but a straight film influence would be more helpful. The 84 version doesnt work because the wall was released in 82. Mucho Gusto
