Ten Wanted Men?

Where does this title come from? I couldn't figure out who the Ten were. The bad guys ranged from 7 to twenty in various scenes. This movie was obviously thrown together for a payday. The mud-hut town was supporting a Vegas style saloon/casino that was making way too much money off the meager clientel that I saw. And the few cattle that were rustled wouldn't support the bad guys very long.
Just a bad story all around.

The ten gunmen were hired by the corrupt rancher played by Boone. One scene featured all of the hirelings standing outside a building in town and I counted exactly ten. While it's possible more were enlisted, that scene established the title.

The saloon was the central entertainment hub for the entire region and regularly drew people from north, south, east & west.

Meanwhile I saw a scene where there was more than enough cattle.

But I agree that this is a mediocre Scott Western. I'd watch "The Stranger Wore a Gun" any day over it.
