Great film

NO!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe there are no other posts on this board! I love this film! All the actors do a wonderful job, and it has a really funny script! *Sure the guy is a total perv, but still* Plus, it has the famous grate scene with Marilyn Monroe!!!

I agree. I was really surprised to find there are only a small handful of posts here.

This is such a funny movie! I love the silly lines, like the night nurse when Ewell is in the hospital, she says something like "once I was young, once I had ethics, once I was registered. Then you came" and then he valiantly fights her off, stoic as hell :-D Not Wilder's most clever or sohisticated film, but certainly good dumb fun with some great actors.

Great fun.

Normally I would agree that anythign Marilyn Monroe is amazing, but I thought this one was kind of boring. I wish her character had at least had a name, and that Billy Wilder wasn't so annoying in it.

Billy Wilder? Did you mean Tom Ewell? Anyway I think he was supposed to be slightly annoying, as a normal man faced with a tough challenge (humorously).

All in all, my favorite movie of all time if I have to have one.
I love Marilyn, the story is so colorful, light hearted and mischievous all at once.
Full of light humor, veiled innuendo, and everyone goes home happy.
To me, The Seven Year Itch is the definition of an enjoyable old movie night!
