Definitely a guy flick

shareNobody can, anymore. The best thing to do with "Itch" is make your own copy, without all of Tom Ewell's fantasies and monologues. The movie was a smash at the time because of Monroe, and it was considered witty--all the innuendo and pop psychology about sex and infidelity. But the film has aged badly, except for MM, who is adorable and gives a most relaxed and amusing performance. With just a hint of poignancy.
shareI'm watching it right now, out of all Marilyn's movies this is the one I can sit through entirely. Marilyn is the star but I find the old unattractive male lead hilarious. Apparently he's a stage actor but he really transfered great to film.

I am a woman and I love TSYI! Maybe it's nostalgia. It was the first Marilyn movie I ever saw and it's my favourite. I was twelve and I have loved her ever since. I like Tom Ewell in this, too. He makes me laugh quite a lot
