Is this the film I saw at the cinema as a child?
I remember, as a six or seven year old child, my Mother (who very rarely let me go to the pictures) took me to the cinema to see (my favourite 'black and white' TV programme character) in this BIG movie on the big screen, in COLOUR!!
It was in a cinema called "The Forum" in Hexham, Northumberland (near Newcastle) and it was FANTASTIC, for me, to see this in colour on a big screen!
The only thing I remember about it though, is that (at one point) the Lone Ranger and Tonto were "holding off" a load of attackers, and they seemed to be each at the top of a different hill, and were individually 'firing down their respective hills' and each individually holding off lots of attackers.
I remember thinking how great it was that they were able to do that!
Does this "hill-top scenario ring a bell with anyone? (I think I am remembering the scene correctly - it is my 'only' specific memory, anyway!)
Is it a scene in THIS film, does anyone know?
You see, I am trying to find out which film this scene was in so that I can try to get hold of a copy of that film.
Because of its "1956 date", this one seems very likely to be the one I saw . . . I think.
Any help greatly appreciated!!
