Anyone else here seen Private Hell 36? Great little 50s noir for anyone who likes that kind of thing, and great performances from Ida Lupino and Steve Cochran as always. I wish it was available to buy on DVD but it's hard enough to track down on VHS.

Apparently the real action in Private Hell 36 happened OFF camera though, as anyone who's read a James Ellroy novel will know all about!

I'm guessing there were steamy scenes left out of the movie.

I think it was a decent film, but to me, not great. A bit too conscience-tugging in my book. Decent performances though, and a nice twist near the end.
