Mickey Rooney was good in this movie

One of his better roles as an adult

I thought Mickey Rooney was really good in this movie as well.

Rooney was one of the most talented people to ever grace a movie or TV screen. Of course his size pretty much relagated him to comedy roles as an adult, but I suggest people check out the following:
QUICKSAND (1950 film noir filmed by his short-lived production company. Rooney has you feeling the sweat and desperation as his character gets tangled in a web of murder and lies)
THE BOLD AND THE BRAVE (1956 flick set in WWII)
BABY FACE NELSON (opposite Carolyn Jones as the vicious 1930's hoodlum; don't know how much of the film is true, but Rooney is a real pit bull in it)

He was good- he surprised me actually.

All round, I think this was a very well acted film. As well as Rooney, William Holden, Grace Kelly and Fredric March were all excellent.

So true!

The man was a giant. He took over a scene and made it his.

He and Earl Holliman made a pretty good team.
