I just want to debrief here, and get something off my chest. There is so much rectal waste out there on DVD, yet, Josef von Sternberg is DEFINATELY up there amongst the major film directors ever (at the very least, a footnote).. ALL of his films should be on DVD. That's all I've got to say. No-one cares, I can accept that.... I've got a bootleg on VHS anyway, so I don't need to harm anyone...

Excellent. I get to stumble in a year and a half later and agree with you! Companies spend millions of $, about half a billion DVDs are being made of the most recent blockbuster (Transformers?) of which half will probably never be used or used only a few times before they are destroyed. All these DVDs... couldn't they spare a few for Sternberg? Couldn't they get out and clean up Anatahan or Thunderbolt or something and toss it out there?
Hmm... I suppose there are some companies that are doing what they can... but there's just so much out there!
