Sublime

This is a magnificent effort of science-fiction for 1953.
It is incredibly impressive on so many levels.

The only thing that was irritating was the screaming of the main actress. It could blow up headphones. But I guess it was a thing back then.

The CGI effects were truly impressive and the film was incredibly well put together.

It should be deemed a masterpiece. Loved it!

SOME of the special effects are impressive, but you can easily see the wires holding up the Martian spaceships, and they stand out even more when the ships crash in LA at the end.

But we do agree on one thing: That actress (who is the ONLY cast member still alive, I should point out) was irritating to the extreme. Why these old movies had women so frightened of such things they would scream the world down is beyond me, and the worst part is, it carried on through to Doctor Who in the 1980s!!
