Who is Audrey Hepburn for 21st Century?

Of all today's actresses, I think Natalie Portman and Rooney Mara are the only ones that could get into Audrey's shoes. If I had to chose between them, I would chose Rooney Mara. Don't get me wrong - I know that Audrey is the one and only, beautiful beloved actress, icon of style and charm and great humanitarian. Just want to say that Rooney is very reminiscent of Audrey by her looks, physique , appearance and talent. She also radiates some sort of innocence.

I dont think they have anything in common with audrey TBH- have you seen some of the dumb stuff Natalie's said? Not to mention, I think she supported that pedo director. and Rooney strikes me strongly as a "lad-ette". maybe just because she played that terrible Lisbeth character. who knows? but neither is classy.

I wont even go into their acting.
My vote is Anna Walton: looks almost exactly like her, has a simlar regal voice, similar tall lanky build, classy demeaner, and she even also played a princess (albeit a rather creepy looking elfin one).

Lisbeth is an GREAT character, what movie did you watch?

Though I agree that Portman and Mara are no where near as classy as Audrey Hepburn.

Anne Hathaway, esp.in The Devil wears Prada. Those marvelous eyes...

This is a joke, right?

I agree Hathaway. She's more of a modern day Hepburn, no one that sweet would last in today's Hollywood. BUT only in SOME movies. NOT ALL. Its the movies that she reminds me of Hepburn in that keeps me a fan of hers, others (Havoc, Rachel Getting Married, Brokeback Mountain, etc)I try not to think of cause it makes me lose respect...

Thefrostmuse, Rooney Mara is actually very classy. Doesn't matter what she did in her role, she's a very soft spoken girl who actually has a very similar introvert personality to Audrey. Her looks are very different, though.

Nobody ! Audrey Hepburn will always remain the one and ONLY ONE Audrey Hepburn.

Exactly!!

I love movies. All genres and decades (except the 70's, honestly) but my all time favorite actor is Audrey Hepburn. Her talent, charisma, presence, ora is of her own. I honestly believe there has never been any actress and there will never be an actress that can live up to her name!

Well, there is a Broadway actress right now who reminds me of Audrey is Laura Osnes-she most recently played the title role in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella on Broadway. Granted Laura has cornflower blue eyes, is tiny bit shorter than Audrey and is a professional singer but both have brown hair (albeit Laura's is light brown)and have slim, svelte builds, but having met Laura in person, my impression of her is that her persona is like Audrey's, she's a gentle soul who's just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Interestingly, in 2011 Laura played Princess Ann in a reading of a musical version of Roman Holiday at the Gutherie Theatre in Minneapolis

Well, I also think that there will never be anyone else like Audrey Hepburn but there is nothing wrong with talking about someone that could be the modern day equivalent.

For me, as far as looks go, it's Lily Collins, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2934314/. I haven't seen any of her work so I can't comment on her acting ability but she does have very similar features. Look through her pictures and you will see some that really remind me of Audrey.

It would be hard to find someone that has the same personality and mannerisms as Audrey. But what comes to mind for me is Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan.

Looks wise another Audrey - Tatou.

Audrey Hepburn was unique. There has never been anyone quite like her, and there will never be another Audrey Hepburn in the 21st or any future centuries.

Another Audrey. French actress Audrey Tatou in the film 'Amelie' catches some of that Hepburn sprk.

There won't be one. She was unique.
