Copyright Issues

J.M. Barrie gave the copyright for Peter Pan to the Great Ormond Street Hospital. By an act of Parliament the copyright was changed so that it never expires. Several countries, including the USA and Japan, do not acknowledge this perpetual copyright and claim the character has entered the public domain.

I wonder which side Disney falls on? Considering that Winnie the Pooh is now public domain and they are contesting that; and Mickey Mouse soon will be. Seems to me they'd want to side with the Hospital.
