Do you LOVE this movie?

Do the people at MGM (or whatever corporate entity owns this movie) read posts on sites such as IMDb, to get ideas of classic movies to release on DVD? If so, then everyone who loves this movie should say so and why! Because this movie really deserves to get released again. I just watched on PBS, and it was such a touching and sweet movie. I loved its whimsical innocent nature, but has a serious tone as well that keeps the sweetness factor in check. I wish I had seen the whole thing (missed the first 20 minutes or so); its one of those movies I wish I'd seen back when I was a kid, but then maybe I would not have fully appreciated it. They don't make movies like this anymore! Agree...???

For me, "love" would be an overstatement. But yes, I rather like this movie. It's both sweet and serious, but it never becomes overly-sentimental (the ending, though, is a bit tacky).

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

Totally agree with this post. The ending is indeed a bit tacky, but I really enjoyed the movie.
