To me she was the star who made this movie enjoyable for me. Kathryn Grayson just doesn't do anything for me as an actress. Great singer, but I"m not an opera fan. I wish Ann had a bigger role, but she had some great song and dance acts. She was just incredible!

shareI will never understand why she & Gene Kelly never danced together. They were in a couple of group dances in On the Town, but they never did a duet. That would have been a classic.

Probably because Gene Kelly had an issue with female dancing partners not being taller than he was. Ann Miller was definitely taller than Kelly.
