How popular was this show?

This is one show I never remember seeing any reruns of. Popular comedies were shown in later years (I grew up in the early to mid 60's) as reruns and I was a big fan of them growing up. I watched Burns&Allen, Life of Riley, Amos&Andy, I Love Lucy, and many others, but never "I Married Joan"
I know the show ran for 3 seasons 1952-55 so I'm curious as to how popular the show was with people who watched TV at that time. I have an old TV Guide from Sept 1954 and Joan was a lead in at 8PM on Wednesday for "My Little Margie" which aired at 8:30. I also remember watching reruns of Margie which aired on NBC for exactly the same seasons. Anybody remember if people liked this show?

try as they did, this series was a bitter disappointment for NBC & JOAN ... it NEVER once made the TOP 25 for any of the three seasons it was produced & when NBC researched the ratings information they were given about any given episode they aired, they were in disbelieve that the only market IMJ had a core audience was the NYC area ... the rest of the nation was igonoring it completely! JOAN & NBC were both in total disbelieve, shock & sad that each episode was actually coming in a dismal 3rd place!

I LOVED this show!!!
And though it is seldom in re-runs,
I was thrilled when it WAS shown on CBN in the mid-80's.
I DO wish it was more popular, and that COMPLETE sets were readily available.

Eons ago Nick at Night played this long before there was a TV land.

It was on a proto-Nick at Nite that may or may not have been on Nick late at night before there was such a thing as Nick at Nite (as was Dobie Gillis and The Life of Riley and some other shows of that era). It must have been CBN instead of Nickelodeon, but since Nickelodeon started doing the same "classic TV in late night" thing soon after, a lot of people (including myself) conflate the two.

That's where I watched it when I was in elementary school(in the early 1980s)

I remember watching reruns during the day on (I believe) Channel 5 (KTLA) in SoCal.

It was the early 1960s - and my mother would remind me that Joan Davis was dead.

"Don't call me 'honey', mac."
"Don't call me 'mac'... HONEY!"

It reran a lot in the Los Angeles area in the late '50s and early '60s. I used to watch it all the time. I thought it was great, but I was eight, so what the hell did I know?
