Filled in the gaps so to speak.

A great character but unnecessary to the story IMO.

i liked the scenes on scrooge's business background.

I enjoy that scene as well, but it really doesn't fit Scrooge's business well. Scrooge and Marley was not shown as a big company in this version or the book by any stretch (they only needed one clerk), whereas the Jorkin scene is showing a company big enough to have shareholders and a board of directors.

We can say that Amalgamated never accepted their offer and went bankrupt, but if Scrooge and Markley had the kind of steam to cover a huge company's bankruptcy, they would have been much bigger as a private company by the time Marley died many years later.

I read that both his scene and Mrs. Dilber's (neither in the book) were specifically written to include both actors who were very popular in England at the time this was filmed.

Perhaps Scrooge had his reverses after Marley died.

he may have been winding down his business as well. he inherited marley's estate and may have sold some assets.
