With the notable exception of Hedy Lamar, I respectfully disagree X19. And Paulette Goddard, seriously???? I'm not saying she isn't pretty, but not even in the same league as Ava.

I agree with O'Hara, Kelly, and Hedy, of course... but as you say,HMStJ, the rest are not in that league, IMO.

"Pandora", too, is Gardner at her most beautiful.

I totally agree with you. That's exactly what I thought as I read the list. Only Hedy Lamar could be considered as beautiful as Ava Gardner.

Ava was exceptionally beautiful.

I agree with Rita and Hedy but must add Gene Tierney to your list. With Ava, these 4 are in a league of their own.

I wouldn't kick any of them out of my movie. But I would certainly add Ingrid Bergman to the list.

Okay, now go to all those other women's pages and put a similar list there. I'm not sure what the point is. Who said she was the only beautiful woman in the world?

You have many actresses I love but wouldn't consider them as beautiful. Ava had a certain extra something.
I'd say Grace Kelley, Gene Tierney and Audrey Hepburn. (I usually think of Lina Horne as a singer).

I would definitely remove Kelly, Dandridge, Horne, Dietrich, Loy, O'Sullivan, and Wood from that list.
