Glynis Johns is adorable
She stole every scene she was in.
shareShe was a peach.
shareI would imagine she still is, at age 91.
Glynis received her only Oscar nomination for The Sundowners in 1960. She played a bar owner in the Australian Outback in the 1920s. In one scene a middle-aged traveling businessman she knows comes in and begins leering at her, apparently asking her to go out with him or marry him. The businessman was played by Glynis's father, actor Mervyn Johns. It was kind of creepy, really.
Reminds me of the hit record of "Something Stupid", a romantic song sung by Frank Sinatra and his daughter Nancy.
shareShe was at her peak adorableness as Jean in "The Court Jester" and the mermaid in "Miranda".
