First Stop, great episode but does anyone else wish...

that George Skinner had gotten his comeuppance somehow? Like how the redneck sheriff and his cronies get tied up, or the guy who sold them the diner got a pie in the face, and even Mrs. Hanson lost out on $50,000 because she was so eager to unload the dress shop in such a deceptive way. I think it would have been funny and satisfying to have had the episode end with the car accidentally backing into Skinner's establishment and knocking it down or something.

If he were real, I'd think so, but the episode works from me as written.

What's startling is that the four never get any FOOD by the conclusion!

reply

Yeah, you'd think they would've been really hungry by that point. Even the stale cheese sandwiches would've looked good.

The motel owner in First Stop was probably suffering enough. I got the feeling that his establishment did well many years ago, but then the main highway was built and motorists completely bypassed his place. He was hanging in there the best he could.

reply

Well then the fact that he acts that way towards people who do actually patronize his establishment makes him all the more unlikable to me.

reply

Yeah, that makes sense. I think he was just a sad character who was depressed and looking to make money any way he could.
