Maureen O'Hara's age

She was twenty-nine and very youthful-looking when "Rio Grande" was filmed, yet she was playing the mother of sixteen-year-old Claude Jarman. Maureen is great, and I'm so glad she was in this movie, but it did require some suspension of disbelief to get over the extreme improbability of their relationship.
