this is one of the movies i watched when i was younger that helped develop my scary movie addiction. it completely terrified me and i'm embarrassed to say that i still get a little paranoid at 11:15 at nite!

The movie that did that for me was "Thief of Bagdad."

Great love scenes with June Duprez, I think the most beautiful woman in film. Then there's the scary "vizier" played by Conrad Veidt! The chill-bumps still come when he calls for the Four Winds to wreck the ship. My dad had to take me out of the theater due to my crying at that point. At least, we went back in to see the rest. I'm glad of that.

The music score by Miklos Rozsa helped, too.

The Genie was a scary, yet funny character, too.
