Rita Hayworth

I have two things to say about her: one, how extraordinarily beautiful she was, and two, she was a GREAT femme fatale. Her whole facial expression, they way she looks at you seems to convey the near fatality that is to have her in your life. I honestly haven't felt that way about any other actress...Marlene Dietrich was great, but didn't have that melancholy and sadness abut her that made Rita so awesome in this movie (and of course, in Gilda).

Very impressive

I enjoyed Rita Hayworth's performance in this. After the movie ended, I was haunted by her words "give my love to the sunrise." What a great noir quote.

I agree. After hearing about the deal with her hair and the butcher job Welles did to her image, I went into this film expecting a total disaster. But she was really quite good.

Weird film. Entertaining but weird.

She’s beautiful as always but I didn’t like her short blonde hair in this, in the book the character she plays is a redhead!
