Anybody else think at first Gaye was played by Barbara Billingsly?

Kinda' freaked me out seeing her virtual clone act so coarsely. I mean she looked more like June Cleaver than June Cleaver. Had to check the cast on INDB to my amazement she wasn't.

I did too. I realized shortly after it wasn't her, but at first I was pleasantly surprised to see her in it.

What's next? Prostitutes rising from the ground and spitting all over my lawn?

No I'm afraid not I knew it was Claire Trevor because she's been in 2 other movies with Bogart before in the late 30's in Dead End & The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse. Sorry Mrs. Cleaver.

They are lookalikes that I've never noticed before. I thought Claire Trevor looked different in this. Mostly age-wise. Perhaps they made her up to look a bit older in this one.
