Bad guy chased through sewers. Well handled and exciting in both films. But did THIRD MAN director Carol Reed, writer Graham Greene, or (by then aging)enfant terrible Orson Welles see this film beforehand?

I wondered the same thing after seething this film. The Third Man premiered a year after "Night" so it's quite possible.

I was rather gobsmacked too. The climax is amazingly reminiscent of The Third Man, which of course it pre-dates.🐭
