Dietrich's age

When I was watching the movie, I guessed Dietrich was in her early to mid thirties, and Gabin was probably about twenty years older. It turns out that when it was filmed, in the spring and summer of 1946, Dietrich was forty-five and Gabin was forty-two! Marlene sure had some good genes, or maybe a deteriorating portrait in her attic.
