Where to buy a proper copy in 2019

I am asking in particular because I have heard of DVD releases where the sound is actually absurdly distorted, especially in the beginning of the movie. Some Youtube comments seem to confirm this as well.

That said, there are more than one Youtube copies, and one of them sounds fine where on the other one the distortion is gross, so it must be available somewhere now that is acceptable.

Any help. don't want to be frustrated buying a shiny wrapper with garbage quality sound on a movie where the primary reason to watch is to listen!
