uncanny resemblance between 'Ritt' and ...

Maybe it's because I've just watched There Will Be Blood but there is a real resemblance between Ritt's character and Daniel Plainview. I don't mean personality wise but physically the costumes are similar as well as hair etc. Maybe it's because I've got 'blood' on the brain but does anyone else notice this?
