What happened to Gale Sondergaard's character?

she must have scurried off to work on the other SIX films she made in 1944.

LOVED her in the Letter. she even made four with B Hope.

I'm not sure about the actress, but I think they mentioned the character was distressed by her encounter with Robert earlier. She's probably in bed somewhere.

I was waiting for her to appear again. I think the last we see of her is when she faints at the sight of the invisible man as his face starts to gain visibility.
