What's your favourite scene?

- I like the bit on the farm when Alison is trying to find out about the glueman and his victims
- the bit where Colpepper and Bob first meet
- when Bob is staying at the inn and the mirror keeps moving
- the "fight" in the village with all the local boys playing soldiers
- the little boy who has the order book under his coat (does he really say "that's awful" after he drinks his lemonade? (that's what it sounds like!)

and just the general haziness of the village and surrounding countryside....

It is difficult to pick a favourite. Like all films from The Archers it is very special.

I love the scenes with Bob and the children. Knowing he became a teacher when he returned to The States makes them extra special.

Bob and Jim Horton amazed that they "speak the same language".

Yes, sir, I'm going to do nothing like she's never been done before!

Considering I have never seen or even heard of this film before I will have to watch it again to really pick out a Favorite Scene. But as a first time viewer I did like the bit about the Little Boys playing at War. Mean While the Real war was going on all around them. It was heart breaking to think that most of those boys would never really ever see their fathers again.

I also liked the scenes with in Canterbury Church. The Conversation between the Music Director and Jim was really moving to think that their History's were similar. Even to the disappointment in not realizing their Dreams right out of College.

I am looking forward to watching this Movie again and next time paying closer attention

So glad that I stayed with it after realizing it wasn't going to be "The Canterbury Ghost" which I at first thought I was Tuning into. Late at night.

Col. G. Stonehill: Most people around here have heard of Rooster Cogburn.

The lumber conversation, and the invitation to dinner at noon.

And all's fair in love and war?
MRS. BAILEY
[primly] I don't know about war.

Also, the drum major. Mostly drum majors look kind of lame. This drum major is the coolest thing I ever saw.

That wasn't the real drum major, he was a member of the band who was pulled out to wave the baton because the real drum major wasn't very photogenic

When Alison finds out her fiancee is still alive, her face is radiant.

The scene with the organist, and finding the music on the steps to the organ.

The scene in the grass when Colpepper and Alison are talking about what they've heard on the road to Canterbury.

The scene of Bob talking to the carpenter about lumber.
