Sign of the Cross Question

I have a question about the scene where Cary Grant goes to the church to get the Greek letter translated. I assumed it was a Greek Orthodox church but when the priest made the Sign of the Cross, he went right to left as if it were Roman Catholic rather than left to right as Eastern Orthodox. Was it a mistake or am I wrong?

I'm watching it right now, well, listening to it so, of course, I didn't see exactly what the priest did. My father was Greek Orthodox and my mother was Catholic so I grew up making the sign of the cross both ways. ;) In the Greek Orthodox Church, you cross up, down, right shoulder then left. In the Catholic Church, you cross up, down, left then right. Hope this helps. I'm curious as to what the actor playing the priest actually did. ;)

@spin73...you were right...I just saw it earlier today and the priest at the Greek church did, in fact, cross himself the way Catholics do...left then right...instead of the way the Greek Orthodox church does...right then left. I'm glad I finally saw what you were asking. I've seen the movie so many times that I never really noticed. And like I mentioned...my dad was Greek and my mother Catholic...so I grew up in both churches.

That goof has now been added on IMDb. Also they had the wrong music. The goofs section notes that is the type of music played in the Roman Catholic Church.
