Hmmmm....Himmler's a little chubby in this movie

When Howard Freeman walks on the scene I thought he was just another faceless Nazi, but he turned out to be Himmler. I don't know who's in charge of research, but Himmler WAS NOT THAT FAT!!!!!!! They also got Heydrich's nose wrong. If they're going to go to the trouble of creating a fake nose for Carradine, do it right!!!

There is no "off" position on the genius switch.

But what actor could they get to even approximate no-chin Himmler? Seriously, in a film like this made at the height of the fight for survival in WWII, you expect documentary accuracy instead of spirited and well-directed hatred?

LOL I thought the same thing. In today's world we have the benefit of countless WWII documentaries about Nazi Germany and as a result, we know full well what Himmler looked like. I wonder how familiar he was to an American audience in 1943. Hitler? Sure everyone knew him. But the rest of the bunch, I wonder. At least they gave him a moustache and glasses!

I think they were confusing Goring for Himmler. Making him fat adds to making him a buffoon.

if man is 5
then the devil is 6
if the devil is 6
then God is 7
and if God is 7...

I wondered if they were actually mistakenly portraying Goring rather than Himmler. But they would have needed an even fatter actor for Goring as he was really obese.
