Watching it now (1/13/2017)

I am watching My Favorite Spy right now on TCM.

It's a WWII comedy about bandleader Kay Kyser being called into the service to combat Axis spies.

As an actor, Kay Kyser was a great bandleader. His role was tailor-made for Bob Hope. Kyser has most of the scenes and Jane Wyman doesn't have much to do except act mysterious as Kay's partner in tracking down the spy ring.

Still, watching My Favorite Spy is a good way to spend a cold, nasty Friday the 13th morning.
