Holiday Inn in COLOR???

Has it ever been shown or released on VHS or DVD in color? It would be so amazing if it has been. If anyone has a copy I'd love to buy it!!!

For all of you who own the color DVD, is the Abraham/February dance cut out like on AMC or is it included?

reply

Included

I like the colour version almost as much as the b&w version and the documentary was fascinating

I worked at Blockbuster for several years and was shocked by the number of people who simply will not watch a black and white movie. People often made blanket statements like "We don't watch black and white movies/documentaries/foreign movies with subtitles", etc.

Good grief. Most of my life I was a teacher, so being poor is familiar to me, but we got our first color tv in about 1980. So after thirty-six years the novelty has subsided.

It's sad when people won't open themselves up to new experiences. There are certain tests I have that eliminate possible new experiences (if it's illegal, immoral, or expensive) but otherwise anything goes. Hardening of the arteries is unfortunate. Hardening of the attitudes is a tragedy, especially in young people.

By the way, the studio probably would have made HOLIDAY INN in color, but remember how terribly expensive it used to be.
