When reading the diary, Ilsa reads, "....the monster,,," in what was to be Henry (Heinrich)'s writing. The original doctor, as brilliantly played by Colin Clive never thought of his creation as a monster. He wanted to create a man, and would have never used that word in his writing.
shareI don't know that it's ever been addressed on the boards, but that's always bothered me, too. There's another diary-related nitpick: the flashback sequence places the footage where Henry "endow[s] it with life" before the passage stating (if I recall the wording correctly), "Now, to give him a brain."
