Friday

This movie is worth watching just to see Friday, the dog. He is truly amazing as is the great Edward Arnold, for which there has never been a clone.

Curious Friday didn't do anymore films. There's no info on him either.

A shame. The dog was incredibly well trained, and acrobatic.

I just caught the tail end of this film but just in time for the great action scenes.

A movie like this could not be done today because of all the animal protection laws.

Actually there were scenes in this movie that they could have provided padding for the dog to fall on and it would not have taken anything away from the movie. However I'd bet that there are laws that even ban a dog from falling in a movie because the very act of falling might frighten the dog.

In some ways those laws are a good thing because there are always those idiots who would drop a dog off a cliff just because they saw it happen in a movie.

According to the imdb, Friday did make one more movie at least -- the sequel to this one, titled The Hidden Eye. However, it could be that a different dog, given the name Friday, appeared in that film. I haven't seen it, but, after seeing Eyes in the Night just now, I'd sure like to do so!

I'm looking forward to seeing 'The Hidden Eye' too. It was the same dog in both films and his name was Friday for real in life.
