Tom Conway was the best thing about this picture!


He was fantastic as the suave, sophisticated, urbane- total sleazebag. I loved the look on his face when he realizes Irena really is a cat person.

He struck me as something of a "poor man's" George Sanders... when lo and behold I looked it up and he was Geo Sanders brother, also famous for playing men of questionable morals

He was a great actor by his own right, but I thought it was wonderful how much he and his brother George Sanders looked like ! Not just the facial features but the impeccable accent, the intonations, the elegant smile... Of course they went to the very same schools as children :)

I wouldn't say "best," but I sure liked his suave sleazy lusty portrayal.

He reminded me of "City Wolf" In "Little Rural Riding Hood," even though that voice was modeled on Ronald Colman. See what you think:
