The special thing about this movie

Gulliver's Travels and Hoppity goes to Town are the only two american non-Disney full length feature animations that was made in the first golden age of animation.
For this reason the movie is really a part of animation history.

Paramount should get their act together and release a DVD collection of these two features, plus the Gabby shorts restored in brilliant Technicolor, instead of the beet red prints that are on public domain DVDs.

Agree. Digitally remastered and cleaned, and maybe with some extra material on it. A box set perhaps? It would be a real collectors item. Paramount would get some money and those interested in these movies would get their DVDs. So what are they waiting for?

And both from the same studio, Paramount/Max Fleischer! And not even made in Hollywood..the first was in New York, Max Fleischer's original base, the second in Florida, before Paramount foreclosed its mountain on Fleishcer.
