Oh my gosh, my favorite book
I had to read Rebecca in high school many years ago, and I loved it. It didn't even feel like an assignment I enjoyed it so much. I've never seen this movie or any other. Please tell me it does the book justice!

Yes. This version does do it justice although they were required to make some changes to the story due to the Hollywood rules at the time. If you see it you'll figure them out. I don't want to spoil it for you.
I do plan to see it. If it's half as good as the book, I'm sure I'll love it. But I don't know if I will know the difference in the stories since it's been more years than I'd like to admit since I read it. I also plan to read the book. Maybe I'll see the movie first and buy the book.
