People who have watched this movie...

First of all let me just say that this movie had the best cast EVER. Even if you put Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep in a movie you will still be far from achieving the level of acting and quality that these three actors have individually and even more so together.

I'm just curious how old is the majority of the people who like this movie and also where they're from.

I'm 17 and I'm from Spain.

I'm 29 (quickly approaching 30 ;-) and from Germany.

I've grown to almost despise dubbed movies, which are the only way they are shown here in Germany. In Scandinavian countries films are usually aired with their original audio tracks and subtitles I hear. Watched "Bringing up Baby" the other night on TV and guess what - Kate Hepburn was synchronized by the same voice that dubbed Marilyn Monroe in "Some like it hot", while Cary Grant had the voice of Tony Curtis! Now that was strange... Therefore I've turned to buying movies I really HAVE to see on DVD rightaway. Nothing better than hearing the actors speaking (and acting!) with their own unique voices and having them say their original, un-translated lines!

I'll be 27 in less than a month and I'm from the US (California). I've been a fan of this movie since I was 16. It's probably my favorite Katharine Hepburn film and that's saying something considering how awesome I think most of her films are.

I’m 20; I’ve been watching this movie for years. I can’t give an actual age, at least ten years, probably younger. (It’s one of my get better movies that my mom use to put in when I would get sick (I’m a big Jimmy Stewart fan))

Huge Cary Grant fan, have been since I was about 14/15. Gorgeous, comic genius and under-rated dramatic actor. But I love all four leads in this film (I'm including Ruth Hussey)

The Philadelphia Story is one of my all-time favourite films, ...I can't even begin to count how many times I've seen it over the years.

I love Bringing up Baby, Holiday, The Awful Truth, Harvey, His Girl Friday and the African Queen too, to name just a few.

Nice sharing with you all

46, straight guy from the middle of the US. Tried to watch it when I was about eight years old, but bailed out when I realized about 10 minutes into the movie that it wasn't going to be a two-hour slugfest between Grant and Hepburn. (Loved the first scene, though.) By the time I tried to watch it again about 5 years later, I was much more familiar with the cast and play, and thoroughly enjoyed it, which I still do.

17, from New Zealand. Bought it on Saturday because it had Jimmy Stewart in it (absolutely love him in Harvey). Watched it earlier today, and it's a bloody amazing film. Really made me realise just how much romantic comedies have deteriorated since then.

Agreed. As an obsessive-compulsive person myself, I've recently begun watching classics on TCM and have been compulsively obsessed with watching them, to the point of planning my days around the programming schedule. Ah, the joys of summer.

I am 18 from California
Classics are my new obsession as well. I started with the Audrey Hepburn movies and simply could not get enough :)

I am 35 and probably first watched this movie when I was around 10 or 11. I have watched it tons of times since. I cannot get over the quick witted banter in this movie. I suggest it to everyone. The cast & the dialogue what more could you ask for?

On a sour note!!! Ever see High Society? It was terrible and basically a carbon copy. I couldn't get over how they tried to get away with ripping off the whole movie. Sad too because High Society did have a good cast.

I'm 22, from the u.s.a. i watched this movie because of james stewart and he was magnificent! i prefer classic films as opposed to any newer films. i like some of them, but they'll never be as great as the classics.

29 .Originally from Russia. Usually black and white movies do not disappoint me - because of their age, time well establishes their values. There are some exception when age shows (usually in over the top, " theater stage" acting, naive scripts ,etc)

Solid 8/10 .Multi-dimensional character development, clever dialogue and some subtle twists keeping it interesting .

I'm 18, from Sydney Australia. I love old movies - especially those from the 40s.

The only problem with these movies, however, is the acting. But I accept it for what it is - unlike many of my friends who do not watch these great films on the premise that "they're not in colour" or "everyone acts OTT".

I especially love this film, seeing as I'm a huge Hepburn fan :D
