FINALLY watched this...and loved it....

This had been on my DVR for some time, last night I put it in and was amazed at what a fine film it truly was. And Ginger Rogers very much deserved her Oscar...she showed true range in the film. This one is a keeper.

No, no..."cruelty." I always think that has a nobler ring to it.

I agree, that she deserved it.
She was funny at times (my favorite was when se met Mark), and sarcastic, but she also showed her dramatic side, with her heartbreak.
I didn´t expect i´d enjoy this film as much as i did.
It´s a shame that most people my age(14) haven´t learned to enjoy such classics.

I just watched this and wasn't sure I would like it. It seems it was always in 'contention' with the Philly Story. I watched it and I LOVED IT!. Rogers is amazing! Beautifully story, well acted, well directed. A must see for any classic film freak. Ginger proves once and for all she was not just a song and dance girl. If you like Kitty try Stage Door. One of Rogers best films IMO.

Katharine Hepburn died yesterday; I don't have to believe it if I don't want to.

I admire your interest in classic films, there is much beauty in them, and the themes which occur in life don't change. My stepdaughter, when she was your age would not watch any movie that was black and white, she said that was OLD stuff. Good luck to you!

I just saw it yesterday. My late mom was a Fred and Ginger fan, the film was pretty good.
