world domination

what's better than Bela Lugosi wanting to take over the world,, pure genius if you ask me,, pretty darn good movie to watch.

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

I love how the grand finale of his evil quest for world domination is to chunk some small bombs out of a bi-plane.

once again... bela lugosi in a laboratory, i've commented on another board that in most every movie starring bela lugosi he's in some lab. just by looking at the dvd box i wasn't sure what this was, a movie with segments and bela lugosi in one part perhaps, then i found an episode list, so thought perhaps it was on tv in the 1950's, but this is from 1939, still there are episodes... i'm sorry, but to a fella in the 21st century this looks weird, so after reading up on it a bit, i'm blown away by the fact people could watch episodes at the theatre once upon a time, called serial, mainly before television, at the end of each episode it says see chapter at this theatre next week. on the dvd it has all episodes gathered on two discs, i've seen the first 6 so far, the picture quality is bad but the sound is okey. the airplane bit looked weird and cheap, as well the burning car like a miniature prop, but that's understandable i guess, the parachute quite to the contrary though. the scene where the car races with the train before a crossing plays out exactly as the movie the giant gila monster in elvira's movie macabre.

down the long country road,
without you by my side anymore,
evenin sun hits the grass where i go,
miss your smile touch of your kindred soul,
since the first mile on this mystic road,
my head hangin low without your heart of gold.
